GENDER
BRITAIN AND IRELAND'S NEXT TOP MODEL

In this programme, depending on your views on models, they are being represented in both good and bad ways. They are being represented in a good way because they are models and generally, especially commercial models, are seen as 'inspirations' to young girls which is what this programmes aim is - to promote modelling. However in some peoples opinions they are being represented in a bad way as some shoots and types of modelling uses models as objects for, in particularly, men to look at. There is an element of false representation as models do not represent the average woman but Britain and Ireland's Next Top Model is aimed at a specific audience - young teenagers who enjoy watching fashion and modelling programmes.
